Healing Properties of Color
Red
The vibration of the color red is strength, vitality,
courage and passion. It has the longest wavelength as well
as the slowest vibration and lowest frequency. When one
wears this color, confidence, courage and one’s personal
passion are shared with the world. Red strengthens personal
will. It also raises body temperature and energizes the
blood. It is a great color for stimulating passion. Too
much of this color on the other hand may over stimulate the
body and create aggression as it may create too much
internal heat. It is a great color to work with when one is
feeling lethargic or experiencing a lack of appetite.
Because red is associated with strength it also has a
strong affiliation with compassion, otherwise known as
strength of the heart. The deepest compassion comes from a
heart filled with the vibration of red which opens the door
of the center of the heart and allows true tenderness to
rise to the surface. Red supports us in the process of
dipping deeper into our heart energy to find our true inner
strength or courage. This color may support us when we are
about to embark on a new journey. In the tradition of
Chinese medicine, red is associated with the Heart and
Small Intestine channels as they are related to the Fire
